How long have you been at Armatile?

Just over 2 years. I started at the beginning of the pandemic which means I had a bit of a different new-start experience to everyone else in the office!

Describe the duties you’ll be undertaking as part of your new role

My general daily tasks involve managing the purchase ledger. This would include making sure that all suppliers are paid on time, invoices are posted and supplier statements are reconciled in a timely manner. I would also match up goods received and POs with the correct supplier invoices and from there I analyse most of the purchase invoices to make sure we are paying the agreed price and have received the correct quantities. I also process the credit notes for any returns made.

What skills are you developing as part of your training in Armatile?

In Armatile you have to be able to work as a team and my job involves me working and communicating with various members across Armatile's different departments. As a result, I have developed my communication skills due to building relationships with various suppliers. In my role you have to be organised and manage your time well as work is constantly coming to the desk!

What has been your favourite project you were involved in at Armatile?

I’m not really involved in specific projects, per say, but I get to interact with a lot of the various departments in Armatile and their projects. If they want their invoices processed in a timely they come to me so everything moves smoothly!

What would you say to someone considering a career with Armatile?

I would recommend it as you can always be sure there will  be a bit of craic. There is always something happening in Armatile and you are always kept busy.

What’s your favourite film?

The Greatest Showman. I could watch that movie over and over again. I even have the CD, so I'm a bit obsessed with it!

And your favourite meal? 

Mummy's Chicken and broccoli pasta bake.
