Due to exciting expansion and investment plans, we have a vacancy for a Warehouse Manager in our newly constructed tile showroom, design studios and warehousing spaces in Baldoyle, Dublin, which is due to open Q4 2022.


Job Description

The Warehouse Manager at our new Tile Showroom will be responsible for running an effective and efficient warehouse through the management of the warehouse team to deliver excellent service to customers.

The role carries the responsibility for maintaining the highest levels of stock integrity through efficient stock management and implementing Armatile’s warehouse processes to ensure full audit traceability.

Warehouse performance

  • Set and allocate performance targets for the Warehouse Operatives and Van and Lorry Drivers.
  • Regularly review targets with Armatile Management and take action for any deviations

Managing the team

  • Be proactive in the recruitment, development and training of warehouse staff, conducting regular reviews
  • Conduct daily briefings and ensure effective communications within the Operational Team
  • Conduct training to ensure all staff are trained to the standard expected of Armatile employees
  • Ensure a clear understanding of where the delivery vans are at all times - allowing visibility to the rest of the team

Customer Service & Managing deliveries

  • Provide a high level of service to customers by ensuring your team follow the correct warehouse processes and procedures
  • Organise and monitor delivery schedules to help maintain and improve service levels
  • Provide a professional image to the customer in line with Armatile’s operational standards
  • Through the team, ensure orders are picked accurately and promptly ready for despatch to the customer
  • Ensure all customer delivery anomalies are reported to the Sales Team to advise the customer accordingly

Managing Stock

  • Ensure that all inbound stock is checked, allocated to the correct locations and any anomalies or damages are reported immediately
  • Ensure all stock movements out of the building prior to despatch are accurately controlled - guarding against any staff errors and unauthorised removal of stock
  • Help maintain the stock inventory to ensure shelf to system accuracy
  • Manage obsolete stock
  • Ensure stock is kept safe, secure and in good condition
  • Ensure returns are processed and dealt with in accordance with Armatile’s policies

Systems and processes

  • Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times
  • Maintain a clean, tidy and efficient environment for the team to work in
  • Implement stock rotation and manage the replenishment of stock to ensure older stock is picked and sent out to customers first and help reduce the occurrence of mixed shades
  • Recommend and implement changes to improve warehouse efficiencies
  • Ensure good housekeeping and maintenance of quality control procedures to assist in the management and audit of stock on the warehouse.

Person Specification

Essential Criteria

  • Managerial experience & a proven sales warehouse management or related warehouse roles
  • Supervisory and people skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly and professional approach.
  • Numerate and analytical with attention to detail.
  • Junior Certificate Maths and English or equivalent.
  • Good IT skills and knowledge of Microsoft packages.
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and in a wider team environment including other managers and the senior management team.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Full, clean driving license
