Job Description

Based in our newly constructed tile showroom, in Baldoyle, Dublin, the successful applicant will be involved principally in a sales role; creating interior and exterior floor and wall designs for Armatile’s varied client base and promoting Armatiles’ unique range of tile products and manufacturing capabilities. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a design background to apply their skills in a commercial sales setting, within a growing, ambitious company.

The successful candidates will be an integral part of the sales team and will work directly with customers to offer design advise in the showroom and onsite. They will be expected to take responsibility for driving retail and commercial sales, be innovative, creative, commercially sales minded and self-motivated.

This role represents a great opportunity for trained designers who wish to develop their careers in an award winning tile company with a strong focus on customer care, interior design and on supplying products that exceed customer expectations. The role will be ideal for those who wish to work with a company that pride themselves on having unique in house tile design and manufacturing facilities and who have supplied their bespoke products to many prestigious residential, commercial and ecclesiastical projects in Ireland and throughout the world.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

• Sales of tiles and related products to a varied client base including; retail consumers, developers, commercial clients, architects & designers
• Production of detailed eye-catching tile design drawings and presentations for clients & sales teams
• Utilising your design skills to promote Armatile’s unique manufacturing capabilities and designer products.
• Finding creative and cost effective solutions for our customers projects
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers

Person Specification

Essential Criteria

• Recognised professional qualification in Interior Design or equivalent working experience
• Qualification/Working knowledge of CAD software packages for interior/furniture design. For example, Autocad, Solidworks, Sketchup, or other similar etc
• A passion for Interior Design and product design
• Numerate and literate with strong focus on attention to detail
• Strong Interpersonal skills and a friendly professional approach
• Strong IT skills and knowledge of Microsoft packages
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Commercially aware
• Fluent in English
