OPERATIONS MANAGER
As a result of planned expansion Armatile are looking to recruit an Operations Manager to develop and further enhance our production operations at our manufacturing plant in Armagh.
Armatile are the leading importer, distributor and retailer of tiles in Ireland. Since 2000, the company have been creating and manufacturing unique decorative floor and wall tiles for architects and designers and for the wider tile industry in the UK and Ireland. It is this unique design and manufacturing service that makes us stand out from the crowd. Our products range from the authentically traditional to the truly outrageous and we have supplied many prestigious projects throughout the world including; the Burlington Hotel in Boston, the Jumeirah Resort in Dubai, Cafe Royale in London and many Church projects, including Saint Patrick’s Cathedral in Ireland’s ecclesiastical capital, Armagh. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the successful candidate will have overall responsibility for the management of production and will manage company resources to produce and deliver goods and services efficiently and effectively. The position demands that the successful candidate must have a practical hands-on approach and strive for continuous and rapid improvements in quality, cost, lead-time, customer service and flexibility. He/she must also communicate effectively and build and maintain excellent rapport, trust and working relationships with all internal/external contacts; including staff, management, suppliers and most importantly, customers.
Essential Requirements for the Successful Candidate:
· At least 3 years experience in production management or related role
· Excellent numeracy, literacy, communication and interpersonal skills
· Excellent IT skills; including a working knowledge of Word and Excel
· Excellent leadership and management skills
· A proven ability to problem solve
· Ability to work in a busy environment and to meet customer deadlines on time and within budget
· Flexibility to work as and when required depending on workloads and key deadlines
· Enthusiastic, self-motivated and ability to work on own initiative
· A practical hands-on approach
Preferred Requirements:
· 3rd level qualification in related discipline, e.g. Project or Operations Management
· Project management experience
· Familiar with modern manufacturing models and techniques
